New Acura Crossover Spied!

Below are the previous spyshots taken awhile ago.
"The last time that we saw this vehicle, it was caught circulating the Nürburgring wearing a lot more camo than this example, and it's widely believed to be a new crossover from Acura. So far, Acura hasn't actually given any public indication that this machine even exists or is planned. Nonetheless, it's wearing all the contemporary Acura styling cues and the Nürburgring pics clearly showed the shield grille through the camo.

This particular example was snapped by an alert AB reader while it was evidently conducting cold weather testing in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. Judging by the reduced amount of camouflage on this unit, it's probably getting close to a public launch, and we're guessing that with its pronounced slope-back, it will have BMW's controversial X6 and Infiniti's FX softroader squarely in its sights. Top Speed Renders Acura's Upcoming CUV (the MSX?)

"After we finished scratching our heads about why Acura is working on a competitor for the BMW X6 and Infiniti FX, we realized it might not be a bad thing. The new chrome shnoz look from Acura may be best suited for a high-rise sports sedan. We got our guy to make a rendering of what this may look like, and we think Acura may have an attractive car/truck crossover on its hands.

In true Honda fashion, this CUV (this could almost stand for Coupe Utility Vehicle) will likely use family familiar parts under the skin. We expect the 3.7-liter V6 from the TL/MDX making around 300 hp to be the power source. From its prospective size, the likely chassis donor will be the TL with the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system used on many Acura models.

So all that’s left is to name the puppy. Considering Acura’s current set up is to name its utility vehicles with a consonant followed by “DX”, speculation could go on for a while. SDX? CDX? XDX?"
